Email Hosting is Rocket Science still in this world
Guys,It is with immense pleasure to let you know that Email Hosting is still Rocket Science Technique in this world. My company paid 9800 odd rupees to Net4 India on 11th Feb 2011 @ 1:10 PM and as per the procedure it should be activated in 4-6 hours as Name Server change affect takes the time. But Surprisingly nobody from Net4 India took an effort to change or inform us that this name server needs to be changed.
At evening: Around evening time I called up Net4India and inquired about status for the same and during discussion it was learned that it is customer who is suppose to change and with the help of great customer support I had done the changes and it was told to me that it will be done in 4-6 hours which would be by 12:00 AM on 12th Feb morning.
At night: Around 11:20 PM when I checked with name server status it did not got reflected and hence tried to call up customer support. My dear friends please note that to contact GOD is simple but to get in touch with Net4 India Customer support is real tough. If you really ask me, as per my experience it is nearly impossible to get in touch with Customer support in first instance. Anyway, coming back to it then called up Customer support and with the help of GOD could get in touch with them. Second thing I learned is that there are issues with my control panel and it would not be possible to changes the name server from my end so customer support agent asked my to request for the same through online system to generate TT number (TT-20110211-232537) As the name suggest TT number was generated at 11:25:37 on 11th Feb 2011 and it was informed to me that by morning 9:00 it would be done.
Yes, you guessed it right it was not done and then again the great exercise of contacting customer support started and finally got in touch with someone and again false promise was given that it will be done by 12:00 PM on 12th Feb 2010 and when I checked with my account it was still not done. Please note that after contacting customer support in morning my ticket complaint was closed with wrong solution.
Day 2:
At afternoon: The great exercise of contacting customer support started and got in touch with Customer support agent and it was third learning that Ticket complaint closed is not with right solution and after barking on them she promised me that by 1:45 PM on 12th Feb name server would be changed and after 10 minutes of it MX records will also be changed. As I write this blog still 20 minutes to go and hoping that it will be done.
Moral of the story: Email Hosting and Customer Support in India still sucks......

Happy New Year - 2011
It has become standard that people go out on new year eve to Bars and drink to the level where they loose the control and come on the streets and shout Happy New Year!!! Happy New Year!!. Is this our culture and is this the way we celebrate new year. There are better ways to celebrate New Year. There are better ways to celebrate new year and following are few steps.
1. Decorate your living room or bedroom where you normally watch TV programs.
2. Invite other family or friends who are not going out on New Year’s Eve then invite them over. Prepare delicious dinner for them and have drinks after but remember to keep the champagne on ice until the ball drops. Get the dinner out of the way early so you can all be ready for the end of the year celebration.
3. Discuss about new year resolutions and make some bets on who will stick with their new year's resolution.
4. Last not least enjoy the celebration which doesn't disturb / harm others.

Gujarat Development
Gujarat Development:
Recently I had been to various cities in Gujarat and was amazed to see the development that has happened in Gujarat in last 10 Years time. I had a discussion with lot of people during my visit and everybody is giving credit to Narendrabhai Modi. I remember my trip to Oman year back and observed that everybody in Oman praises their King more than God and could see that it's happening in Gujarat. I could not find single person who didn't gave credit to Narendrabhai Modi.
What is improved in last one decade:
1. Road Infrastructure - There is no two opinion that Gujarat has best of Road infrastructure in India. I have been traveling across India and could surely see the difference in Quality of roads in Gujarat. I feel proud to say that Ahmadabad has India's best BRTS system. I think Pune has to visit the city and need to learn from Ahmadabad BRTS system.
2. Electricity - Had been to Narayan Sarovar (Town in Kutch) where 10 years back Electricity was dream and today there is hardly any load shedding in this town. I feel ashame that Pune suppose to be Metro town (A Class Town) has minimum 3 hours of load shedding in summer time.
3. Industrial Growth - It is not new to say that Naredrabhai has attracted lot of Foreign investors to invest in Gujarat and proved that it is not just the get together of foreigners program but have seen investment flowing in Gujarat. Nevertheless to say about TATA NANO where things got turned up positive in just few hours.
4. Today Narendrabhai has laid the foundation stone of the 500MW Gujarat Solar Park to be developed by Gujarat Power Corporation at a cost of Rs.1,247-crore on 1,000-acre government wasteland at Charanka near Santalpur in Patan district in north Gujarat. It would be first Solar Capital of the world.
